1. Installation and running the game

1.1. Game client doesn't run

Download from internet app DxWnd.

For running game in DXWnd is required:

1. Run app file dxwnd.exe.
2. Open context menu, clicking on mouse right button in app window and select "Add" (or press keyboard key "A").
3. In opened dialog window type path to game executable file and required settings.
4. Close window, pressing button "OK".
5. Run the game using double mouse click on field with filename (or pressing "Enter").

Settings are following:

• Hook DirectDraw
• Use GDI
• Resolution: 1024 x 768 60 Hz
• Fullscreen
• Auto correct mouse position
• Important! In app properties allods2.exe remove compatibility (set by default)

If it didn't help, then delete:

1. Game client
2. All versions of Microsoft .NET Framework.
3. All versions of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributive
4. MSXML

Downloading and installing:

1. MSXML 4.0 sp2 и sp3
2. Microsoft .NET Framework
3. Microsoft Visual С++ Redistributive
4. Game client

1.2. Screen resolution

In game folder there is config file allods2.cfg, which we open with notepad.
Here we find lines:

// Default display width
// :: 0 - 65536
r_width 1024 ;here we set required width
// Default display height
// :: 0 - 65536
r_height 768 ;here we set required height

1.3. Blinking

On blinking cursor install utility DDwrapper from "Files" section.

1.4. Scrolling

To reduce window scrolling, browse game directory and find config file allods2.cfg
Find line "g_scrollspeed" and replace number 100 with more comfortable speed, for example: 97

2. Map editor

2.1. Installation

• Make copy of game folder.
• Download and extracting in folder DDwrapper utility.
• In copied directiry find a file acrit.cfg, open with notepad. In front of NoVideoMemory write "0".
• Download Map editor (version 3.0), extracting all files into copied directory.
• In app properties set color depth to 16 bit (high color).
• Run the Map editor from rom2me.

3. Overall questions

3.1. Grid

In game folder there is config file allods2.cfg, which we open with notepad.
Find line with "r_grid" replace "false" to "true".

3.2. How to play using multiple windows and not to crash the game

There are different situations, when you will need to join with 2nd or even with 3rd, 5th and 10th window. But how not to crash?
Very easy, make multiple copies of game folder. For every new window join game from diffrent folders.

3.3. How to save screenshot

Keyboard keys combination: Alt + S
Screenshots will be saved to folder "screenshots" in game root.

3.4. Reference

Reference in game can be opened by keyboard key F1.
